Baby Double Strollers
There are generally two types of baby double strollers. One is the Tandem style double stroller and the other side-by-side style double stroller. Children are able to sit one behind the other in the former type of stroller. This stroller is considered to be ideal for a baby with an older sibling. The seat in the back is so positioned that it can recline fully for the baby and the toddler can be seated in front.
This serves dual purpose. It not only allows a full view but provides more leg room as well. The double stroller can be folded to a more compact size. It is also easy to maneuver through the doorways because of its slender shape.
As opposed to this is the side by side stroller, it allows both the children to sit next to each other. This kind of double stroller is more suited for twins or two babies of roughly an equal weight. Such a type of stroller is easily maneuvered over curbs. This stroller, however, has its limitations when it comes to steering it in small and crowded aisles.
It has to be borne in mind that side by side stroller and double stroller needs to be sturdier than the single stroller. The reason for this is that compared to the single stroller, the double one is used by two children at a time and therefore, necessarily, has to be stronger and more durable.
Ensure that the wheels of your selected stroller are properly set and at the same time are sturdy. This is must to check for safety of your baby. As for the Tandem stroller, it has an elevated back seat which lets the child in the back to have a better view. Some models even offer front seat with two-position recline, and back seat with four-position recline for two babies.
